What is Sufism?

"Sufism is the Religion of the Heart. Sufism has always been and shall always be an open door to Truth; the wise feel sympathy towards all beliefs. Sufism believes in the Divine origin of every form of worship in which the unity of religious ideals is respected. The Sufi Message is a message of, ´Spiritual Liberty,´ revealing in its essence, the true nature of spirituality as being the liberation from dogmas and preconceived ideas. And in its call for "Unity of spiritual Ideals, the Sufi message offers a source of inspiration, reaching far beyond such feelings as ´my religion´ as opposed to ´your religion,´ because there is only one religion and several interpretations of the one Truth." -- Hidayat Inayat-Khan June 2005

"Our healing practices are based on the 1500-year-old spiritual tradition of Sufism. The word "Sufi" literally means "wool". The student of Sufism strives to be like the wool in the hands of God, living in complete trust of God and surrender to what God will make with him/her in any moment. Sufis, mystics who serve God, have long been known as world servers, helpers, and healers. The Sufi message is one of peace, love, mercy, justice, and freedom for all the people of the world. At The University of Spiritual Healing & Sufism, we understand that each of us holds tremendous potential in our hearts.

The University of Spiritual Healing & Sufism is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the teachings of the Shadhiliyya order of Sufism. The teachings of Sufism are based on love, peace, mercy, justice, freedom and equality." The University of Spiritual Healing & Sufism

"When you find the love, you find yourself. The secret is in the love. You are the love, not another....When you have the knowledge of the love, you feel peace in your heart. The jewels are inside you. This is the holy meaning." From Music of the Soul
